HAS NOT ENDORSED THE POLITICAL DECLARATION

Armenia has not yet endorsed the Political Declaration on the use of explosive weapons in populated areas. It did not actively participate in the negotiations towards a Political Declaration.

Statements and positions

During the UN General Assembly First Committee in 2020, Armenia condemned the use of explosive weapons targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure by Azerbaijani armed forces.1 During the UN General Assembly First Committee in 2022, Armenia also referenced the harmful use of explosive weapons in populated areas by Azerbaijan.2
